Dear Potential Sponsor –
After a very successful inaugural season, the Gravenhurst Business Improvement Area (GBIA) is pleased to once again present the Award Winning Muskoka Chair Festival this summer.
The Muskoka Chair Festival is a beautification project with a twist. One-of-a-kind Muskoka icons are hand painted by local artists and then displayed in front of downtown businesses within the BIA district throughout the high-season beautifying Uptown Gravenhurst – one chair at a time!! The chairs are auctioned off at the end of the season by way of silent auction.
Last year with 21 chairs on the street – 19 up for auction we raised just over $3,100. This year we have plans to display 30 chairs and double the proceeds.
The money raised through this project are reinvested in the program and directed to other beatification initiatives of the downtown core. This year we are considering purchasing street furniture including bike posts, recycling receptacles, benches and game tables for all of us and our families to enjoy.
We would like to invite you to consider sponsoring this important beautification program at a cost of $125.00 for the season which is intended to (almost) cover the cost of the chair. As a sponsor you will:
- Have your business recognized on the Muskoka Chair that you have sponsored
- Be recognized on all promotional material for the program including press releases, ads, flyers and brochures
- Be invited to all events related to the program e.g. Festival Day, Recognition Evening, etc.
- Sponsors that are within the BIA also have the opportunity to display one of these masterpieces outside their own business.
